FAQ

  • Can the Boot Trekker be carried on an airplane or does it have to checked as luggage?  The Boot Trekker has been carried on and checked as luggage for airline travel. The Boot Trekker has removable straps and does not contain a solid internal frame, therefore it can be compacted down in size, restricted mainly by the items placed in the bag. The manufacturer cannot, however, confirm whether the Boot Trekker will meet the requirements of any particular airline for carry-on or checkable luggage as these specifications vary by airline as well as internationally.

  • Where may I store my helmet when checking the bag for airline travel? When checking the boot bag for airline travel, helmets should be stored in the large Front Pocket.

Use & Care

  • Care - Air out the pack if it becomes wet. The pack may be rinsed with fresh water and mild soap detergents. Do not put in dryer or use hand dryers on the pack.
  • CautionThe pack is used for carrying heavy Alpine ski gear. Skiing, ski gear and winter conditions are inherently dangerous, and caution must be taken at all times when using this product. Never use this product improperly, too close to property or other people. This pack is designed for use by adults.

    Well Thought Out

Posted by Unknown on 26th Dec 2015

Kudos to the designers of this bag. The workmanship and attention to detail is very apparent. It is going to replace me having to carry three or four bags of stuff. I hope to use it for many years.

Great Bag... Holds all your gear...

Posted by TK on 18th Mar 2015

Great bag. Very well constructed. Wish the glove pouches were bigger but still gets 5 STARS. Bought this bag for myself but it is a little big for my daughter. Going with the Powder Trekker for her.

    Excellent boot bag, super space

Posted by Unknown on 18th Feb 2015

This bag is a bit bulky, but it has pockets for everything you could want. Enough space to put your helmet in or if fully loaded, sling for helmet on outside as well!

Quality feel and lots of storage space

Posted by JP on 17th Feb 2015

Bag feels well built, more than enough space for mine and my 5yr old sons clothes helmets, goggles and more. Comfortable on while completely full, really balanced quite well. My only complaint (really more of a suggestion for future modifications) would be to make the top opening into bag larger. Otherwise an excellent bag.

10 year old daughters new bag

Posted by KO on 13th Jan 2015

When I purchased this bag, we watched the video online showing the quality of the bag and recommendations where to stow everything. I didn't think that my 10 year old daughter was going to like the bag as her friends have fancy racing backpacks. To my surprise, after watching the video, she loved the idea of having different spots to organize all of her stuff. She is not an organized kid by any means, so I had my doubts. So far though, she has really surprised me, and having the option to organize and separate things has gotten her to really like and actually use it as designed.
As for the quality of the bag, and also the functional storage, it is exactly as described, and is top notch.
If any improvement were to be made at all, the zippers are not as heavy as I would have if I designed a bag (but are as good if not better than other bags that I looked at). My son's current bags have zipper problems, so that is why I am overly critical of zippers right now. They are probably robust enough, and I am pretty picky (an engineer)......
Great bag, don't hesitate to purchase one.

    Superlative and Useful

Posted by Unknown on 14th Oct 2014

As a ski coach I tend to carry more stuff than I need but you never know when you need it, so you carry it. The bag is super well designed. All I need is one bag for everything including many extras, as well as shin guards and helmet. I just bought a second one as a gift to my daughter. Not only does she have to carry a great deal of equipment as a young racer, the black and lime green bag is also super cool and clearly the cool aspect was more important to her. She wanted a full size bag and the weight is fine for her. She's a strong pre-teen. I see the bag replacing many of the bags presently out there, in the race world.

    SPECTACULAR boot bag

Posted by Jim F on 27th Mar 2014

I have been skiing for 30+ years and have owned half that many boot bags over that time. All have been lacking in one way or another. Build quality, storage space, materials, engineering...something. Unlike the others, this bag has it ALL. Seriously. I can imagine using this boot bag for years and years to come. Well done, Kulkea!
